Once you get the hang of prototyping, particularly with tools that allow you to create quite
complex prototypes, you will see how easy it is to get carried away with essentially recreating an entire website or app. This is all well and good until you come to amend it following user or client feedback.
You can guarantee that the thing you need to change is hidden within multiple dynamic panels on Axure or within some devious smoke and mirrors piece of functionality that is time consuming to unpick and rebuild. The power of these tools can also be their downfall. You need to recognize how far you should develop your prototype. As you get more user and client and feedback you can justifiably increase its scope. Start small and build up over time. Don’t build more than you need to be sure the approach will work.
