Babson’s Board of Trustees has approved tuition and fee rates for the 2016–2017 academic year. Undergraduate tuition will be $48,288, a basic double room $9,924, and a standard meal plan $5,452. The rate of increase of these combined charges is 3.2 percent.
Tuition receipts at Babson cover only a portion of the cost of educating our students. In fact, just 71 percent of the College’s operating revenue comes from tuition, fees, and room and board. The remaining funding is sourced from gifts, grants, and income from the endowment and auxiliary activities. We are fortunate to have the support of the many alumni, parents, faculty, staff, friends, corporations, and foundations that generously support our mission—to educate entrepreneurial leaders who create great economic and social value everywhere—and are proud to have your student as a valued member of the Babson community.
We remain committed to keeping Babson affordable through our investments in financial aid. Next year, we will award more than $36 million in undergraduate grants and scholarships, with a significant majority of these funds allocated to students with demonstrated financial need. For additional information regarding tuition and financial aid, I encourage you to contact Student Financial Services at 781-239-4219 or sfs@babson.edu.
We take seriously our responsibility to manage our operational costs while ensuring Babson College remains one of the country’s most respected and unique academic institutions. A Babson education delivers both great intellectual and practical value. In fact, a Babson degree has never been more valuable:
· Six months after graduation, 99 percent of the Class of 2015 is employed or attending graduate school.
· Babson is the No. 1 best school for business majors (Money magazine), No. 1 best business school for Return on Investment (PayScale), and No. 2 among all colleges in the U.S. for value (The Economist).
· U.S. News & World Report ranked Babson No. 1 in Entrepreneurship for the 19th consecutive time.
We continue to earn well-deserved accolades nationally and internationally, and, most importantly, from you—Babson students and families. On behalf of the entire faculty and administration, I assure you that we are committed to doing everything we can to provide a truly outstanding educational experience that will be of benefit throughout your student’s lifetime.
