Evaluation of the antagonistic capacity of actinomycetes against onion rot bacteria
From the 45 tested actinomycetes isolates in this study, seven isolates exhibited
antagonistic activity against both E. carotovora subsp. carotovora (Ecc) and
B. cepacia (Bc) with different degrees (Table 1). Both isolates No. HHFA1 and HHFA2
were highly potent, especially isolate No. HHFA2 which showed the greatest antagonistic
activity against Ecc and Bc with diameter of the inhibition zones of 30 and 37mm,
respectively (Figure 1).
