Axillary temperatures of infants and air temperatures inside
the incubators were measured at 2 h intervals during first day
of phototherapy and recorded. Patients who received phototherapy
38 °C
or persistently over 37.5 °C were evaluated for neonatal sepsis
with clinical findings and laboratory tests (complete blood
count, peripheral blood smear, C-reactive protein and blood
culture) [10]. Study was approved by local ethics Committee
and informed consent was obtained from the parents
