The discussion led to the development of the following title “Integrating
principles of sustainable development in human resource management.” Little discussion
was needed to conclude that the main objective of the module was “to provide students
with an understanding of the principles of sustainable development in human resources
management in tourism.” The group agreed to limit the content of the module to topics
suitable for university level students who were taking a course on human resource
management in either a hospitality or tourism management program.
The content of the module was divided into four sections listed below. The content
of each section is further described in sections that follow.
