The first paint of the steel structure shall sustain minimum 5 years. The compartment shall be welded steel frame structure with thermal insulated roof and wall panels. Construction shall be proven / well experienced manufacturer’s standard. The compartment enclosure shall be rodent and insect proof. The design shall allow the combination of several compartments to one room. The base frame of the compartment shall be supported by reinforced concrete structure, and pile shall be used as necessity considering soil condition. Each compaflment represents a shipping unit, therefore all special tools/ facilities required for lifting of the compartment shall be provided for each compartment as a necessity. Lightning protection for the compartment shall be covered by Zone protection of the plant lightning protection system on the compartment itself per IEC Standard. Inside the compartment, a Ligthning Protection shall conform to IEC 62305-4 LPZl. Wall and roof panels shall be as follows: 0 Sandwich construction with tongue and groove joint system fixed from outside I The core of the panels shall consist of CFC free material I Wall thermal insulation shall not be greater than 0,41 W/m2 K I Roof thennal insulation value shall not be greater than 0,24 W/m2 K I Fire behavior shall conform to intemational standards such as IEC or DIN or equivalent international standards 0 Outer paint thickness shall be suitable for the environment at the place of installation Each door shall be provided with a small glass window. The locks of the doors shall be suitable for an electrical equipment room and equipped with door closers. All door locks shall be working smoothly and of anti-panic type, equipped with a handle indoor and a knob outdoor, both made of light metal. Battery rooms shall be separated from the equipment room by steel wall panel if it is vent type of battery. The floor of the battery room shall be resistant to chemicals and electrolyte and shall be sloped to the drain pipe. Free~flowing acid shall be drained from the floor into plant chemical drain pit or a removable underground plastic tank located in a concrete basin beside or under the compartment. The tank shall have a capacity of at least 500 liters. The walls shall be provided with acid resistant wall finish up to 1.5m above floor level. The battery room shall be provided with at least two doors. The design of the battery room and ventilation shall conform to EN 50272-212001. Redundancy of fan system shall be provided. Standard eye spraying device with minimum 15 minutes operation shall be provided for each battery room. Volume 2 Page 2A~23
