The effect of feed flow rate is illustrated in Fig. 6. Three feed flowrate values 100, 150 and 200 mL/min, which correspond to residence times of 1.75,1.17 and 0.875 min respectively, have been investigated in this section. Results indicate that the reaction time needed to reach the steady state condition of biodiesel yield only dependsonfeed flowrate.It can be seen that a long reaction time of 8 min was required for a feed flow rate of 200 mL/min while only 4 min was needed at 100 mL/min. The results indicate that high ASTM and EN standard satisfying biodiesel yields can only be obtained at 1.75 min residence time.
