eliminate some other form of teaching. For those who are looking to add
CAI to their clerkships, how will they find a program to use, and if they find a
program, how will they know prospectively that it truly meets their needs?
When there are several programs available to teach a particular topic, as
is often the case, how will the clerkship director decide which is the best
program? Few will have the time available to carefully review each of the
programs and then weigh the relative strengths and weaknesses. As opposed
to textbooks, most CAI has not been peer-reviewed, so the educator cannot
simply assume that all CAI available is of high quality
