Business and Economics (CLABE) is the only international degree course offered by the School of Economics, Management and Statistics in the management and business area. It is a 3-year undergraduate programme entirely taught in English. It forms graduates who are qualified to assume market oriented managerial or consultant positions within an international setting. The programme develops strong skills in economics, marketing, financial and strategic management areas. The programme provides students with integrated management skills in different operational areas helping them to address international market oriented issues and to develop strong skills in economics, marketing, financial and strategic management. Graduates may pursue a career as marketing managers, corporate finance managers, business consultants or project managers. Professional growth is expected in manufacturing companies, services and nonprofit organizations. During the three-year programme, the learning areas are organized in six main blocks: economics, marketing, general management, private and commercial law, mathematics and statistics, finance, and accounting.
