Ming Chuan University Founder Teh-Ming Pao graduated from National Beijing University, then along with Madame Chiang, established the Pei Du Women's Welfare Organization during the war period to help take care of women and children. After the war, Founder Pao and Ms. Li-Wen Wang tried their best to urge the government to allow women to participate in politics. In 1990, the school was upgraded to Ming Chuan College [of Management]. In 1997, the school was accredited by the Ministry of Education as Ming Chuan University. In addition to the campuses in Taipei and Taoyuan, planning for Kinmen Campus began in 1996. Several graduate programs began there from Fall 2000.
Founder Pao received many honors all around the world as she devoted all her life to promote popular diplomacy, international academic exchanges, cultural exchanges, as well as Women's Football. Her contributions to the society are highly affirmed.
