Leucine-rich repeat receptor-like protein kinase (LRR-RLK; GhC3), was upregulated in both the seed and pericarp at the site of infection (L1) as early as 6 h and maintained its expression at least up to 72 h after infected by A. flavus. Its expressionwas significantly higher in seed in comparison to that in pericarp. However, its expression in the adjacent (Adj) tissues of pericarp and seed did not change significantly after infection.
