Dear Colleagues,

To ensure sustainable growth as we scale up our commercial banking business in the region, I have entrusted Cheo Chai Hong to provide leadership in building our bench strength and replicating best practices in the Group's middle market credit approval function. In order to focus on strengthening this area, Chai Hong will relinquish his role in Corporate Planning & Strategy (CPS) with effect from 1st February 2015.

With effect from the same date, CPS and International will be merged to form Group Strategy & International Management (GSIM), to be led by Ian Wong, who will continue to report directly to me. Ian will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to drive the Group's strategic planning efforts while retaining management oversight of our regional banking subsidiaries and overseas branches.

I would like to thank Chai Hong for his leadership and contribution in CPS and we look forward to his continued dedication in steering our middle market credit approval function.

Please continue to extend your full support to Ian as he embarks on his new role as head of GSIM.
