The effect of disturbance and reforestation after forest disturbance by a gas pipeline construction was investigated. We selected ants (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) for our experiment as ants are a large component of the arthropod community on ground (IBOY, 2000). They perform a wide range of ecological function, as predators, preys, or mutualists with plants or animals (Schultz and McGlynn, 2000). They are relatively sensitive and esponsive to the ecological changes in small scales both in space and time.
