5.4 Weight allocations
The weights of the vulnerability indicators and sub indicators for the relevant climate change impacts were
determined by the respondents’ answers during the group interview. The group interview was conducted in such a
way that the respondents had to agree among themselves collectively as to what the final weight allocations of the
indicators were. Weights of the vulnerability indicators varied depending on the stakeholders’ view of the relevance
of each vulnerability indicator. The total weight allocations for both the vulnerability indicators (sensitivity,
exposure, and adaptive capacity) and sub-indicators of each vulnerability indicator must not exceed 100%. The
weight allocations of each vulnerability indicator as well as those of their corresponding sub-indicators are shown in
table 2.
