Conclusion
Making precision metal parts is a critical additive manufacturingtechnology as it can directly produce finished products or parts forhigh performance applications. The current limitations of additiveprocesses include surface finish, repeatability, and material proper-ties. The research and applications of a stereo vision based hybridmetal manufacturing system are summarized in this paper. Theissues include understanding the DED process, the stereo visionaided automated process planning, and laser displacement sensorsurface scanning. The modeling and simulation of material–laserinteraction help design and set the process parameters for metaldeposition. The stereo vision based path planning and laser sensorscanning make the process has less involve with manual operation,
