While many products are not perceived as controversial
in nature and have no restrictions on how it is sold, there may be restrictions
on the type of images that can be used in its advertising. Some
images in advertising, including nudity, anti-social behavior, racist and
sexist images, are openly used in some cultures, but restricted in others to
reduce the degree of offense in the community. Such restrictions would
reduce the ability to standardise a campaign around the world.
