Biodiversity preservation is unanimously considered a prior- ity by the scientific community and society at large. This topic is predominant in GE env (68.4%) throughout the decade (Table 1; Figure 1). The literature is highly hetero- geneous, since the potential impact of GE crops on biodiver- sity can be investigated at different levels (crop, farm and landscape) and different organisms or microorganisms (target and non-target) can be considered.
