19. Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999:
This contract does not create any right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act which
is enforceable by any person who is not a party to it.
20. Severability
In the event any one or more of the provisions contained in this contract should be held
invalid, illegal or unenforceable in any respect, the validity, legality and enforceability of
the remaining provisions contained herein shall not in any way be affected or impaired
thereby. The parties shall endeavour, in good faith negotiations to replace the invalid, illegal or
unenforceable provisions with valid provisions the economic effect of which comes as close
as possible to that of the invalid, illegal or unenforceable provisions.
21. Time: The time of dealing will be confirmed by BP upon written request.
22. Notices:
Except as otherwise expressly provided herein, any notice or communication shall be sent by
fax (with, where specified, hard copy to follow).
Communications by fax shall be deemed to have been given when the party sending the
fax has received a valid transmission report indicating the message was received in full and
without error, provided that (in each case) if such time is after 17:30 hours (local time, at
the place of delivery) or is not on a banking day at the place of delivery, the notice or other
communication shall be deemed to be served at 9:00 hours on the next banking day at the
place of delivery.
