Marketing Functions
In larger hotels and resorts, marketing activities may encompass additional functions, including preparing advertising and working with a designated advertising agency, developing brochures and other collateral materials, conducting database mailings, and creating packages. In addition, some marketing departments are responsible for developing promotions, conducting public relations activities, and managing rates and revenue. The goal of marketing and sales is to produce revenue through selling rooms, meeting, and events and conventions. In this next section, we look at these additional marketing functions.
