You know ever since I was a child, I’ve been fascinated by building a cyborg. And every year we get closer to that goal. But there’s still a problem and that is energy. All the sensors, microprocessors, motors and levers consume vast amounts of power. Where is that energy gonna come from? The obvious solution is batteries. But batteries, hot, they’re clumsy and they’re short lived. Who wants to have to change batteries in the middle of a firefight? We need a better solution. Nature already transfers energy wirelessly. It’s called lightning. I’m on my way to visit Katie Hall who has set up a demo for me. If it works it could be the beginning of a complete revolution.
