Manager, Maintenance
Department: Engineering
Key Accountabilities:
Oversight of Line Station maintenance activities and contracts for all aircraft
Provide monitoring & control of invoices including approval and recoveries.
Coordinating the negotiation, vetting and administering new service agreements with service providers, other major vendors and line station contracts.
Set up a database to capture and monitor maintenance costs.
Verification of financial charges that are incurred relating to aircraft maintenance, engine / component repair or overhaul and parking services.
Design and implement a warranty claim process for technical claims.
Liaison with contracted parties regarding FTM, ITM and MRO services that are needed for the operation of the airplanes.
Approving, controlling, monitoring and scheduling non-routine and deferred maintenance activities, including MEL / CDL requirements.
Coordinating with the various commercial and operational departments on aircraft serviceability and rescheduling arising from aircraft maintenance
Coordinating all maintenance activities that may be performed on the fleet during aircraft checks, transits and layovers.
Investigating passenger complaints and crew reports pertaining to aircraft technical defects and recommending corrective actions where applicable.
Qualifications:-
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Electrical/Electronics or Mechanical/ Aeronautical with at least 3 years of relevant working experience (in an aviation / MRO organisation) OR
Licensed Aircraft Engineer with minimum 7 years working experience
Preferably with knowledge of B777 aircraft
Proficient with Computer with knowledge in Microsoft office software
Basic knowledge in warranty management
Basic knowledge in Finance and Costing;
Planning and organisation skills
Team oriented and resourceful but able to work independently, when required;
Analytical and problem solving skills
Good Interpersonal skills & Communication skills, both oral and written English.
