promoter type and concentration on the modulus of the different
rubber mixes is shown inFig. 4. It is clear from the figure that the
incorporation of manobond in various concentrations into the
rubber mixes is accompanied by a sharp decrease in the modulus
when using 0.5 phr and then it increases again to values
approximately equal to that of the mix containing no adhesion
promoter. On the other hand, it is obvious that the addition of
KMR highly enhances the mechanical properties.The use of
1.0 phr of KMR in the rubber mixes gave higher modulus and
tensile strength values than those obtained when manobond
promoter was used
