h1. The Known Issue
h2. PC clients on Windows 10 and 8.1 , after applying Windows Update, NAS share folder become inaccessible.
Due to security setting changes in Microsoft update , share folders without access restriction may become inaccessible after applying the latest OS update.
h2. Solution:
Try the outlined solution in sequence and try the next subsequent step only if the applied solution does not work then move to the next step.
1- Verify by entering IP address \IP in file explorer, if the unit is accessible by IP address. The issue is not related to this case and it is a name resloution issue.
2- Verify *"Network Location"* is Set to either Private or Public in Windows 10 and 8.1 Control Panel ---> "Network and Sharing Center" Select Home or Public if already not set.
3- Create a local user account.
