Hi everyone, my name is Maiko. I'm not sure how to describe myself, as my personality's mixed up and complicated... honestly, I often get fed up with it myself!! Most of the time in Japan, I could be considered as a traditional Japanese type (you know all those stereotype stuff like shy, modest, polite...etc? ), but once I start talking in English with western people, I always make them say I'm very westernized... whatever it means! xD I suppose it means that I can be quite open, frank and talkative. And these days I am in westernized-mood a lot, as I am working in English speaking environment, with even more westernized colleagues. I'm afraid the westernized-part will be dominant :p
Anyways, my first experience abroad was 3 weeks of homestay in Utah, USA (now don't ask me "Why Utah?", it was an organized program and great anyway!). Following a year in Edinburgh, UK for the exchange program, I could visit some countries in western Europe before coming back to Japan :)
Then study had kept me quite "stuck" in Japan for a while after that, but I started to travel again once I got a job :) My job sent me some destinations I might have not visited personally, which was great experiences! Since I took over different position, and especially due to "tight budget", not many chances for business trips any longer unfortunately. I will keep planning private travels then!!
* I added albums with some Japanese scenery, and another with pictures of my pet rabbit Silk. I hope you'd enjoy them. And thank you for all the comments on the pictures, I really enjoy and appreciate each and every one of them
