First, you could look at the development workshop chart (Table 1.1) and mark your position on some of the lines. These are key journeys in your efforts to be a better teacher. Some of these issues may be familiar; some may be less so; some may be so wall integrated into your teaching that you’ve lost sight of them. The chart isn’t exactly scientific, but it might at this stage help you to focus on some strengths and weaknesses in your work. As time goes on (perhaps as you read this book) you might to the chart and track your movement.
