A novel decoupling method for VGT/EGR diesel engine is developed, which is a combination of map-based static feed-forward controller, model-based dynamic feed-forward controller as well as two ADRC controllers. This solution was validated on a diesel simulation platform with VGT/EGR system. The following results have been achieved:
1) The cross-coupling in VGT/EGR system can be observed by ESO, and mitigated by ADRC in real time, making the decoupling much easier to work.
2)The evaluation in various transient and disturbance rejection tests show that the designed strategy dramatically improves the response and tracking accuracy of intake mass air flow and mass air pressure with considerable anti-disturbance performance.
