It is not the aim of this paper to pass a judgment on Malaysia’s ability or otherwise in
developing the informated work place. Instead, the focus has been on raising issues that needs the attention of researchers, public policy makers, and practitioners. There is the need to recognize that moving into the Information Age is more than just plugging in the latest hardware or building glitzy high-tech urban centers. Basic transformation to enhance the
resourcefulness of Malaysia’s human resource is needed. Besides investment in education,
developing the informated work place and its requisites will be important
