It is expected that the traditional Khao Lam came from Laotian migrants who settled in Thailand. It is the wisdom in cooking and food preservation according to natural material that is bamboo. Bamboo is grown and available in all regions. Traditionally, Khao Lam was made by cooking rice or sticky rice in bamboo joint but Khao Lam made of sticky rice is most popular. Later, it is developed to dessert flavored with coconut milk giving the delicious sweet and salty taste.
