In this study, we developed a facile method for synthesis of Mn–Co
mixed oxide and studied the catalytic properties and durability of
the obtained materials in complete oxidation of ethyl acetate and nhexane.
Compared to the single oxides (MnOx and Co3O4), the catalytic
activity of mixed oxide was promoted significantly which can be
ascribed to its superior properties such as smaller crystal size, larger
surface area, better low temperature reducibility and strong synergistic
effect of Mn–Co in the mixed oxides.
