An analysis of capillary flow action using computational fluid dynamics program to simulate fluid laminar flow in the capillary is presented. The objective was to find the best algorithm for simulation. The result obtained from this study can also be applied to other capillary flow. The two dimensional and three dimensional simulations were performed. The results were then compared with experimental data of Zhumd et al. (2000) and with ANSYS CFX results proposed by Svihla et al. (2006). It was found that, the transient heights of capillary rise were different from those of experimental data. However, when compare with simulation result of ANSYS CFX, capillary heights varied with time. They were very close, throughout the flowing period.
