Assessment procedures:
1. Do not personally test any equipment. Ask facility management to identify trained
employees to test equipment and assess accordingly. Note in report if facility employee
was unable to test equipment.
2. Do not open emergency exit doors before notifying facility management. For some
emergency exit doors, facility management must de-activate emergency fire alarm before
use. Re-activate door fire alarm after function check is completed.
3. If unable to confirm full compliance, then cite as violation. Mark “YES” in Onsite Report
Template and provide additional explanation for reason why unable to confirm full
compliance (e.g., denied access, incomplete documentation).
