The qualitative data on 4 villages around Kut Dang wetland area were collected by using various kinds of the PRA tools. Hence, two kinds of interview surveys were also developed. With five main sections, the first interview survey sought to withdraw the viewpoints from the local officials about the local demography, wetland status and threats, villagers’ dependence on the wetland and their perspectives on the wetland conservation and management. In this regard, the interview was conducted to two village heads in form of face-to-face conversations. Another tool we used in the study was seasonal calendar that helped us keep track of the agricultural and other economic activities of the local people during the year. Mapping tool provided us with the village history, geographical profiles, and the allocation of infrastructure serving the local communities’ life. The whole process of information collection was carried out in companion with the interview implementation. The data were recorded in large-size papers.
