The complete spray ball assembly is designed for -1/ +6 bar. The working pressure of the spray ball head is however 3.5 bar as per the data sheet provided. The reason being that this is what will be required to operate the spay ball head for its cleaning duties. This would normally occur when the vessel is empty and not under pressure.
The spay device supplied to FMC cork was supplied as a stand alone item in July 2008 and was not part of the vessel originally supplied to FMC Cork (supplied in 2004). As the data sheets provided during the enquiry stage did not specify the material of construction for the spay device, we quoted a PTFE spay device. Therefore our scope of supply included this type of spray ball.
