in their essential oils are used in the treatment of different

Monoterpenes are produced naturally in fruits, vegetables and
herbs. One of the fruits which is rich in these bioactive compounds
is blue honeysuckle (Lonicera caerulea L.), widely harvested in Russia,
China and Japan. The berries of blue honeysuckle are described as
oval to long in shape, dark navy to purple in colour and similar to
blueberries in flavour (Chaovanalikit, Thompson,&Wrolstad, 2004).
