The conference adopted the Declaration of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, and Forum on China-Africa Cooperation-Beijing Action Plan (2007-2009), deciding to establish and develop a new type of strategic partnership featuring political equality and mutual trust, win-win economic cooperation and cultural exchanges.
President Hu Jintao, on behalf of the Chinese government, announced 8 measures to strengthen practical cooperation between China and Africa to support national development in Africa, including increased assistance, provision of preferential loans and preferential export buyer's credit, establishment of the China-Africa Development Fund, offering assistance in building the AU conference center, debt and customs exemption, establishment of economic cooperation and trade zones, enhancement of human resources development and cooperation in education, health care and other areas for Africa. Premier Wen Jiabao together with 33 African heads of state took part in a high-levle dialogue with the business leaders.
