If you prefer your motion sensors to remind all nearby that they're under someone's watchful eye, Fibaro's new offering fits the bill. With the Fibaro Motion Sensor comes a real eyeball design similar to that of a (glowing) cat's eye, which can be controlled from a mobile device.
The design is made all the more interesting with the inclusion of LED lights, transforming the sensor from a small white globe into a colored eyeball when motion is detected. This gives the illusion of an eyeball winking open when someone moves.
The color of the "eye" can be changed via the smartphone app, which users use to control the sensor. In addition to keeping an eye out for motion changes, the sensor also monitors the temperature, the level of light, and uses an accelerometer to keep an eye on vibrations.
The sensor will track information based on motion, such as how much time someone spends in a room and how many people have entered and exited a room. According to the Fibaro website, the sensor will be arriving in the US "in several weeks", no pricing info available.
