A. User interface design requirements
The design and implementation of the user interface (UI) is a
crucial part of the project. The UI is the “front side” of the
project and have a central role in its achievement. In general,
the user knowledge is defined by the UI. The type of users is an
important parameter when we design the UI, for example,
through favourable experiences, users can appreciate a product,
while an incompetent performance will most generally lead
them to dismiss it. When designing the UI for “World of Kids”
we developed a smooth design Methodology [13] to create a
practical and user-friendly series of applications that understand
the mindset of children with ASD. Autistic children, for
example, prefer predictability and consistency in their
environments, and slight changes can discomfort and/or stress
the child
allowed to make monthly analyses, which must be monitored
by the parents and caregivers, in order to optimize the child’s
learning and comfort. Moreover, it allows the parents and
educators to gradually add or modify learning concepts if
needed.
The objective of this application is to motivate the child
and build a sense of value and appreciation to the learning
process by recognizing the user’s moods and emotions. “World
of Kids” consolidates as well as integrates all the settings and
personalization of emotion applications. Once the users have
signed in, they can pilot through the games proposed by the
application and may even access their personalized game
settings as they please. “World of Kids” is designed for mobiles
and tablets devices. It uses Cloud Database Server to share data
(i.e. facial recognition data and voice recognition statistics).
