I am the Regional Creative Director for Ogilvy & Mather Europe, Africa & Middle East, and I have been with Ogilvy since December 1999.
With 52 countries and more than 100 Creative Directors, it's a wonder this region functions at all, but a shared ideal to be the best we can be makes it all happen.
What's most relevant to me? Talent, Talent, Talent. It's the bedrock of this agency. It doesn't matter that talented people are difficult, petulant, opinionated. Without their incandescence we might as well shut the doors and all go home.
My favorite career highlight at Ogilvy is going to Touffou almost immediately after joining. Meeting Herta and being in David's home made me realize that I hadn't joined an anonymous multinational network – I had joined David's Ogilvy.
