Hello! I hope that this e-mail gets to you. Your friends that have e-mailed me were talking about Thailand and asking about where I live, so I'll tell you just a little bit about living in Idaho and the western US.
There's a lot of different things to see in the Western United States. We have wide open spaces and lots of different climates and regions. In Idaho alone, you can go from a low desert, to the high mountains, to a forested area in a couple of days. I live in the Southeastern part, close to Utah, so much of the wild land is sage brush, juniper trees, fossils and rattlesnakes. Idaho is also very famous for farming, and we have quite a bit of farmlands around us.
My grandfather owns a farm, and it's a lot of work to manage, but it's also very fun. For me, my favorite time of year is in the fall, just after summer, when there's a lot of different vegetables and fruits ready to harvest. I like this time of year because it's still warm enough to be outside, and if I get hungry, I just pick an apple off one of my grandpa's trees.
