There are two important models - namely those of Labelle and Wils. In his investigation, Labelle found that company strategy was the determining factor for the content of the organisational HR strategy. He also found that both the content of the organisational HR strategy and the company strategy were influenced by internal and external environmental factors. Labelle identified various types of HRM practices and goals to fit company strategies. Unfortunately, however, the investigation was limited to only 11 companies from diverse sectors.
