The uptake of NiCl2 was much higher in most organs at 3 h than that at 24 h post i.p. with NiCl2 only (Figs. 3, 4).
As a result of the role of the kidney in NiCl2 clearance, the higher distribution of NiCl2 at 3 h is probably due to urine intentions (Figs. 3, 4; Table 2).
Nevertheless, the underline mechanism about higher accumulation in uterus post i.p. NiCl2 only at 3 h was not clear (Fig. 3), which needs further study.
The greatest excretion of nickel was observed in the feces post i.p. in mice [11], which was contradictory to our
results in rat.
Our results demonstrated that the main route of nickel excretion was through.
