Health Beliefs About lnfluenza Vaccination The Ctrinese
version of Himmig's (1998) questionnaire (as cited in Moh
Yeung, & Chan, 20o6)was used to measure the health beliefs
toward influenza yaccination (Mok et al., 2006). It measures four
aspects of health beliefs toward influenza vaccination, indud
ing perceived susceptibility (four items), perceived rverity (five
items), perceived benefits (seven items), and perceived barriers
(four items). The fottr Iikerttlpe response qrtions unged
from 1 (strongly disagree) to 4 (strongty agree). The possible
range of scores is 2O-80, with ahigher score indicatingamore
positive healttr betef. The reliability of the H?immig's questiorr
naire was reported as .6O-.86 when used in ttre Hong Kong
