views. FGD mostly comprises groups of 6–10 farmers (usu-ally differentiated according to gender), a size small enough to allow in-depth discussions and personal feedback in
comparison with village meetings. The FGD usually aims to exclude opinion leaders (Casley and Kumar, 1988),which was not possible in this study where interviews were carried out in the field.
