EIS measurements were performed at the frequency range of 0.1 Hz–100 kHz using an AutoLab PGSTAT302 Potentiostat (TheNetherlands) in NaCl solution. The coated steel sample, which had an exposed area of 0.05 cm2, was used as the working electrode. Ptand saturated Ag/AgCl electrode were used as the counter and refer-ence electrodes, respectively. The experimental data were analyzed using the Nova 1.9©software package.
Immersion test The anticorrosion properties of the coatings were also evaluated by immersion test in 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution for a period of 30 day saccording to ASTM G31. The coated panels were weighed before and after immersion test . The performance of the coatings against corrosion was examined visually as well as through calculation of the weight loss.
Adhesion test The adhesion of the epoxy-based coatings to the steel substrates was examined according to ASTM D3359 standard. The results are described according to the percentage of area removed during the test (5B for no removed area and 0B for greater than 65% removedarea).
