This paper analyzes the effectiveness of damping resonance vibrations of a spring using a new method of
local coatings made of highly-damping material covering its last coils,as well as the influence of these
coatings on themaximumvaluesofdynamicstressesandthevaluesofnaturalvibrationfrequenciesof
springs. Itisshownthatwhileanelastomericcoatingappliedonthewholelengthofspringwirealways
