This is ridiculous. Children all over the world live off diets that have little to no dairy, eggs and/or meat and are perfectly healthy. The important thing is to monitor your children and ensure that they are getting everything they need. Any responsible parent would do that, they would only want the best for their child.
As-long as you are careful anyone can thrive on a vegan diet, regardless of age. It has already been proven multiple times in studies and by the perfectly healthy vegan children running around our country. Rather than condemning vegan diets, reliable information should be more readily available.
What Baker says is right. There are more unhealthy children eating a non-vegan diet. Professionals need to be properly informed before they pass judgement, otherwise mistakes happen and it causes a lot of problems.
