Recognise and avoid
Some situations and places can make rejecting peer pressure even more difficult. You can try to recognise these situations or places in advance and avoid them.
For instance, turn down an invitation to a party where the consumption of tobacco, alcohol and drugs is encouraged.
Be a positive influence
When your friends are smoking, drinking alcohol or taking drugs, you can try to influence them in a positive way.
Share with your friends about the effects of such substances and remind your friends that there are better and more interesting things to do. Taking up sports and other hobbies that you and your friends enjoy can help your friends overcome their addiction.
We care
The rubbish produced at parties is often not disposed properly. If used cigarettes and glass bottles are not disposed properly or recycled, we could harm and pollute the environment.
