1. Introduction
Titanium dioxide is one of the important photocatalysts,
especially for the detoxification of water
and air. Many works were focused on the preparation
as well as on the modification of TiO2 [1–4]
and some composites of SiO2/TiO2, ZrO2/TiO2 and
TiO2 coated polystyrene spheres were also proposed
[5–10]. Some papers reported on preparation of the
composites between TiO2 and carbon [11–14] and also
TiO2-mounted exfoliated graphite [15,16]. It was reported
that addition of activated carbon to titania slurry
could increase decomposition of some organic compounds
in the photocatalytic process
