All three Lactobacillus species showed different
growth pattern in the MRS broth supplemented with blackberry
juice. The growth of L. rhamnosus was significantly (P < 0.05)
stimulated (>2 logs CFU/mL) by blackberry juice at all three time
points (24 h, 48 h and 72 h) as compared with the growth in MRS
broth alone.
