We would hope that as our students

We would hope that as our students observed P–
12 students using calculators in regular classrooms,
they would have a more complete picture
of teaching and learning mathematics in today’s
technological world. In this way, as they begin to
participate in the teaching world, they may be
better able to assess the usefulness of technology as
a tool not just for their own learning but for the
teaching of mathematics as well.
